IMAGES AND FONTS

All the images, fonts and icons are free to use, but some of them need to be credited. If you choose not use them, then feel free to delete the Credits page before you launch your site.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING PLUGIN

The free version of the popular booking plugin Simple Schedule Appointments is included with the child theme. If you choose to use it, you will need to set up your own account. For users needing additional functionality, a Pro version is available.

CANVA TEMPLATE

On the My Story page, there is a graphic (see below) with images and text. This was created in the free version of Canva, and the template is included in your download files. If you prefer not to use it, you can just replace it with an image or delete it all together.

What Else Do I Need?

YOUR DOMAIN NAME

You will need your own domain name. You can purchase one from any number of registrars. I use Porkbun because they have great support and I love their branding. Namecheap is another good option, or you can purchase your domain name through your hosting company.

WORDPRESS WEBSITE HOSTING

You can sign up for web hosting through companies like Cloudways, Krystal or Kinsta. These hosting providers offer plans specifically designed for WordPress websites, which makes setup much easier.

This child theme only works with WordPress.org self-hosted sites and the free Kadence Framework. It does not work with WordPress.com sites.

SOFTWARE REQUIRED

This theme also requires the free Kadence parent theme, along with two free Kadence plugins to be installed on your site in order for our child theme to work. Detailed installation instructions can be found here.
